Chair – Jarron Kennedy

They/He
Jarron is a 23 year-old born and raised in Utah and a pretty conservative man in high school. Because of friends, and by taking the chance to learn and reflect, he became far more progressive and aware of injustices.
This was the case with Utah, which constantly faces the rising cost of food, housing, and more. In addition, he also become aware of discrimination, not just in sexuality or gender, but also in wages.
Jarron will work to make sure that even if you may not agree with all his ideas, he wants you and all of our friends and neighbors to be safe, happy, and secure, which should be the right of every person as enshrined in the Bill of Rights.
Vice Chair – Jacob Reaños

I am a lifelong Utah resident who has been molded by the wonderful people around me in this beautiful state. I grew up in the Mormon church and was an active scout. Those experiences have made me to be a lover of the outdoors and a fighter for what I feel is right. I am now a full time student at Weber State and work full time as an IT as well juggling all my social and political responsibilities. I love the work I do and look forward to the work that needs to be done in order to make our state one we can be proud to call home.
Historian – Nicole Whitaker

Niki officially settled in Utah in 2009 to attend UVU, having been born and raised in Murrieta, Southern California. In 2021, Niki and her now husband, Dakota (who she finally married in September 2025 after nearly a decade together), cemented their roots in Weber County by moving to Riverdale. Niki is a dynamic professional, bringing over a decade of sales experience and seven years of solid project management expertise from the Event Tech Industry—skills she is eager to leverage for community organization. While she was raised conservatively, witnessing the difficulty of scraping by on multiple jobs in high school, college, and her early-career, coupled with a deep respect for science, the environment, and human differences, firmly aligned her values with the progressive movement. This shift was profoundly inspired by Bernie Sanders’ message of hope and equity.
When not working, you can find Niki happily spoiling her two cats and house rabbit. She absolutely loves animals and will always stop to ask to pet your dog! She is thrilled to be part of the Weber County Progressive Caucus Executive Committee, driven by a commitment to pushing people-first policies and ensuring that everyone in the community—human and animal alike—can thrive.
